Biographical Info
Beth Kiser, MS, BFA, RMT, E-YTA (she/her/hers) is a performer, music therapist, music educator (master’s with emphasis in string pedagogy and talent education and school psychology.) Founder of the Madison Cello Ensemble (MCE), with over 30 years of expert instruction, her students are noted for their musicality and enthusiasm. Members of the Madison Cello Ensemble demonstrate excellence, achieving exemplary recognition in WSMA, WYSO placement, concerto competitions, and college auditions. Students from ages 4-84 have found a nurturing, wellness-based approach to cello with Beth and MCE, which encourages and motivates them. Students explore various pedagogy approaches that best meet their learning style and interests in Beth’s private studio, including Suzuki repertoire, contemporary cello improvisation, and music therapy strategies. The Madison Cello Ensemble and its teacher’s studios are a community where all cellists thrive. As founder of MCE, Beth mentors young instructors, is a valued clinician, and treasured teacher of 100s of students who have become lifelong and professional cellists.
