Biographical Info

Eleanor Mayerfeld is a violin and fiddle teacher who is passionate about helping students of all ages build their technique and explore their creativity.  She is a Wisconsin State Fair Fiddling Champion and a Suzuki certified violin teacher.  Classically trained with a background in orchestral and chamber music, she currently performs as a fiddler in local bands Tsuzamen and the Elm Duo, specializing in klezmer and Americana styles.  Eleanor holds an MM from the Longy School of Music and has extensive experience as a teaching artist in schools, community groups, and on tour with Opera for the Young.  She teaches with compassion and collaboration, tailoring lessons to nurture each student’s artistry.
