Learn how lineage, lilt and “lift” combine to create musical expression and movement in fiddle dance music. Focused on concepts and activities for both students and teachers, this participatory workshop introduces a world of possibilities for solo and small ensemble work.
Effaeye’s extensive experience as a dancer, choreographer, fiddler, composer, teacher and performer is combined to emphasize the development of listening, rhythm, improvisation, flexibility and confidence.
Participants ages 8 to adult with at least a year of experience playing their instruments are welcome to bring a violin, viola or cello and a sense of curiosity and fun!
