Singing While Playing – with Dr. Benjamin Whitcomb

Playing while simultaneously singing is a wonderful skill that is always well appreciated by the audience, too. Once you can do it, you will likely look for ever more opportunities to use this skill. If this is something you have wanted to do but you just don’t know how to get started, this is a presentation you won’t want to miss!

Consider:

• There are so many potential gigs and performances for which you can be self-sufficient.
• This type of performances appeals to a very wide audience.
• You will also have improved in your ability to think at all times about your breathing while playing—a valuable trait itself.
• You will likely notice a marked improvement in your sight-singing and ear training skills as well.

This workshop is for all string-playing participants at a ‘novice’ level or above, although cellist participants should be at an ‘intermediate’ level or above.
